At Foxgloves Boarding Cattery, we believe in keeping things simple and straightforward when it comes to our boarding fees. Our daily rates include everything your cat needs for a comfortable stay, from cosy bedding to their preferred diet and heating. There are no hidden charges or unexpected extras, so you can rest assured that your cat is in good hands without breaking the bank.
Whether it’s a short stay or a longer visit, we cater to your needs with no minimum stay requirements. Plus, our peaceful rural setting in Bishopthorpe ensures your cat enjoys a serene environment while you’re away.
Payment can be made by either cheque, cash or online - sorry, we do not accept cards. A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required to confirm the booking. Your booking is only confirmed once we have received your deposit.

Flexible options for every cat
We offer a range of enclosures to suit different needs, from regular spaces to extra-large enclosures for families of cats. Our rates are designed to be fair and inclusive, with prices starting at £14 per day for a single cat in a regular enclosure. For those with multiple cats, our extra-large enclosures can accommodate up to three cats sharing, with rates tailored accordingly. Payment is simple and can be made via cheque, cash, or online transfer. While we don’t accept card payments, we ensure the process is as hassle-free as possible. A non-refundable deposit secures your booking, giving you peace of mind. Please see our price list below;

Convenient drop-off and pick-up times
We understand that life can be busy, which is why we operate an appointment system for drop-offs and pick-ups. Our opening hours are Monday to Saturday, with morning slots from 8:30 to 9:30am and afternoon slots from 16:00 to 17:30pm. This flexibility allows you to plan your day without stress. Please note that we are closed on Sundays and Bank Holidays, so it’s important to schedule your visits accordingly. We are always on hand during these times to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for both you and your cat.
Plan ahead for annual closures
To ensure we can continue providing the highest level of care, we have an annual closure period. In 2025, we will close at 6pm on Saturday, 8th November and reopen on Monday, 2nd March 2026. We encourage all our clients to plan their bookings around these dates to avoid any inconvenience. If you have any questions or need assistance with scheduling, we are more than happy to help. This planned closure allows us to maintain our facilities and ensure they remain a safe and comfortable haven for your cats.

"My cat Margo has stayed at Foxgloves 2 years in a row now when we have gone on holiday. I was allowed to look round the kennels and help settle her in. They’re spacious, provided with a bed, litter tray, cat tree/ hide and toys, they also double-check your cat has been vaccinated. They're happy for you to bring your own bits as well to make your cat feel more at home. They also supply some foods depending on the brand! The ladies are lovely and I never worry when Margo is there 😊"
